Q. How do I purchase a Ready Made outfit from Guinevere’s Dream?
A. To purchase a Ready-Made outfit from the Guinevere’s Dream Website simply email [email protected] telling us which outfit you wish to buy, please include your email address, postal address, telephone number and any questions you may have regarding the outfit.
We will then contact you to give you a full price including Postage & Packing and to give you payment details.
(Please note that the costume shown on our site are one-off items and are offered for sale as you see them. If you wish to order a similar outfit in the same style as one shown you should go to “Purchase of a Made-to Measure Outfit”)
Q. How do I purchase a Made to Measure outfit from Guinevere’s Dream?
A. Email [email protected] to tell us what you would like us to make for you. Please include any questions that you may have.
We will email you to give you an estimate of the cost, the time needed to make the outfit and to answer any questions that you may have.

Please allow 4 to 8 weeks for me to make your order. From time to time, the time needed to complete an order may increase due to our work load.
Q. How much will it cost for Postage and Packing?
A. We use Royal Mail Special Delivery for carriage around the UK and International Datapost for overseas carriage.
Royal Mail Special Delivery guarantee next day traceable delivery before 1 p.m. so that you don’t have to wait in all day to receive your delivery.
Royal Mail International Datapost guarantee traceable delivery to most of Europe within 2 working days and the USA within 3 working days.
The price is weight dependant and therefore is calculated per consignment.
Packaging and handling is again weight dependent but is usually between £2.50 to £4.00 per consignment.
Q. Can I pay using my credit or debit card?
A. Yes you can use your credit and debit cards to pay for goods and services bought through our website. We use the Online finance handling company, PayPal.
Once we have informed you of the price of an item, you can instruct us to have PayPal invoice you for the price of your goods including postage and packing.

We also accept payment by personal cheque. All transactions are carried out in Pounds Sterling ( GBP ).
Q. Do you have a catalogue?
A. The answer to the most frequently asked question is… No.
We are a web based company who produce quality historic costume, primarily for the made to measure market. We show many different styles on our website in order to help you to come to a decision regarding the costume that you want us to make for you.
We show any new styles we can make on our website, quite often these samples are for sale at a very reasonable price.

Q. How long will it take for me to receive my Made to Measure outfit?
A. As a general rule, we would say between 4 to 8 weeks. However, we do have times when we become very busy, at such times the delivery time may increase.
Please remember to give us as much time as you can, we get some customers who book the time to make their outfits as much as a year in advance. Pre booking time avoids future disappointment.

This chart is provided as a guide only, rarely does anyone conform to the exact measurements given here. The beauty of having a gown made to measure is just that, the gown is made to fit you and not the other way around.
Q. Can I visit your shop?
A. Rated number two of the most frequently asked questions.
We do not have a shop, Guinevere’s Dream is a small e-business, which I run with the help of my partner from our home in South Yorkshire.
We are pleased to invite customers to our home, by prior appointment, to discuss their requirements.
However, the vast majority of our work is done via the internet and by email: [email protected]
At least 24 hours notice is required for the cancellation of all appointments, failure to give proper notice may result in a “Cancelled Appointment” fee being charged.
Q. Do you make costume from the movies?
A. Yes, quite often. The thing to remember about Movie Costume is that in many cases hundreds, often thousands of pounds or dollars can be spent on a costume that is in a movie for thirty seconds. There is no way that this kind of opulence can be recreated on the limited budget available to most of we lesser mortals.
We can make costume inspired by those we see in the movies, or if you can really afford it, we can look into recreating as close a copy as fabric availability will allow, but that is seldom an inexpensive option.

Q. Do you make costume from any historic period?
A. Quite simply, yes.
The history of costume has been a passion of mine for quite some time. But I find that most people come to me for costume inspired by the medieval period.
Q. Do you do Fancy Dress?
A. No.
We regard the work we do, as personal tailoring and dress making in a historic style.
Fancy Dress is what you throw together to go to a friends party at the weekend or to help out in a charity pub crawl. We produce costume and garments for special occasions.
Q. How much will it cost…?
A. How much do you want it to cost?
I work on an hourly rate; therefore, the more time your outfit takes to source and produce, then the more expensive it will be.
Or you can give me a budget to begin with and I will tell you what I can do for you within that budget.
It will never be as cheap as a High Street dress shop, but you will be getting a hand made custom outfit, made for you at a very reasonable price.
